We wish to invite descendants, veterans, families and friends to join us for a moving and memorable commemorative memorial event like no other.
The concert will be in two halves. The first being 12 eyewitness accounts that were composed by people inside the conflict who are either directly observing or directly connected to the war. The second half will consist of another 12 that will tell some of the major events during this war from beginning to end. We will tell these stories through music, projected photographs and factual text, and narrations. Like other concerts we create, these events will be told fairly, independently and truthfully.
Chris Latham, Director, writes ‘Whilst the war was just, there was a terrible sting in the tail. The difficulty is we had to pay an absolutely obscene price to win that war that involved enormous moral injury, and I think it’s difficult for us in the modern era to understand and appreciate this cost.’
‘This concert is intended to help heal any wounds and I think the greatest form of healing can always occur through love and so it's a very loving work. Perhaps that's also the meaning behind the sub-title ‘Greater Love’ in that we would make a concert and create music that would be so filled with love that it would somehow be able to repair the wound.’
Tickets will go on sale in early June 2025.
